Meet Our Team
John Brown
John Brown is the Founder and Chairman of Valor House Foundation, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting homeless, struggling, and at-risk veterans through advocacy, outreach, emotional support, and assistance accessing critical healthcare and community resources.
Born and raised in Texas, John has spent more than three decades in leadership and management roles across the restaurant, call center, and oil and gas industries. Beginning his management career at the age of 18, he developed a strong foundation in leadership, accountability, team development, and servant-based management that continues to guide his work today.
Since 2016, John has served in safety leadership roles within the oil and gas industry, where he has remained committed to protecting workers in some of the most demanding environments. His passion for safety is rooted in a simple belief — every employee deserves to return home safely to their family at the end of the day.
That commitment to protecting and serving others continues to shape both his professional and personal mission.
John has been a lifelong member of Memorial Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas, where he was baptized during his teenage years. He has been married to his wife, Maria Brown, for 25 years, and together they have three sons.
Although John did not serve in the military himself, he comes from a family with deep military roots, including his father, uncle, and cousin who all served in the United States Army.
His respect and appreciation for veterans inspired him to establish Valor House Foundation after recognizing the growing need for veteran support services, particularly within the East Houston community.
John believes too many veterans struggle to access the help, healthcare, and support they deserve after serving our country.
Through Valor House Foundation, his mission is to help restore stability, dignity, and purpose for veterans facing hardship while building a trusted network of support grounded in Brotherhood, Integrity, and Compassion.
